ABOUT CHEMICAL PEELING IN TURKEY

.
CHEMICAL PEELING IS A POPULAR COSMETIC PROCEDURE USED TO IMPROVE THE TEXTURE AND APPEARANCE OF THE SKIN. IT IS OFTEN USED TO TREAT A VARIETY OF SKIN CONCERNS SUCH AS FINE LINES, WRINKLES, ACNE SCARS, AGE SPOTS, AND UNEVEN SKIN TONE. DURING A CHEMICAL PEEL, A CHEMICAL SOLUTION IS APPLIED TO THE SKIN, WHICH CAUSES THE TOP LAYERS OF THE SKIN TO BLISTER AND EVENTUALLY PEEL OFF. THIS PROCESS STIMULATES THE PRODUCTION OF NEW SKIN CELLS, RESULTING IN SMOOTHER, YOUNGER-LOOKING SKIN. THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CHEMICAL PEELS AVAILABLE, RANGING FROM MILD TO DEEP PEELS, DEPENDING ON THE SEVERITY OF THE SKIN CONCERN BEING TREATED.
.

.
For the chemical peeling treatment in Turkey apart from improving the person appearance, does not occur because of being overweight. Cellulite occurs more in women than in men. Chemical peels can be used on the face, neck or hands and can be used to;

  • Reduce fine lines under the eyes and around the mouth area.
    .

    .
  • Improve the appearance of scars.
    .
  • Treat certain types of acne.
    .
  • Reduce age spots, freckles and dark patches.
    .
  • Reduce patch melasma caused by pregnancy or birth control pills.

After the chemical peel, the skin will temporarily be more sensitive towards the sun so sunscreen should be worn each day.

.
CHEMICAL PEELING NON-SURGICAL ESTHETICS PROCEDURE

During chemical peeling, the use of anesthesia is rarely required but burning sensation followed by slight stinging will occur when the solution is applied onto the skin. Deeper peels will require extensive local anesthesia, systemic sedation and rarely general anesthesia. The process will begin with the application of defatting solvent (alcohol or acetone) being wiped over the area to be treated. The peeling solution will then be applied for the appropriate duration and then halted by the application of neutralizing solution. Bandages will be applied to the treated area.

.
SUITABLE PATIENTS FOR CHEMICAL PEELING

Fair skinned and light haired patients are best candidates for chemical peels. If patients have darker skin, they may have good results depending on the type of treatment. Chemical peels can be done on both men and women over the age of 18.

.
BEFORE CHEMICAL PEELING

Before getting a chemical peel patients may be advised to prepare the skin with certain medicals.

Medication should be stopped a couple of days before the treatment.

.
AFTER CHEMICAL PEELING

  • After the chemical peel redness can occur followed by scaling which will last from 3-7 days.
    .
  • Mild peels may be repeated at 1-4 week intervals until the desired look is reached.
    .
  • Medium depth and deep peeling may result in swelling and blisters, which will break and peel off after 7-4 days.
    .
  • Bandages may be applied for several days on part of or the complete skin that is treated.
    .
  • The sun must be avoided for a couple of months after a chemical peel as the new skin will be pretty sensitive.

.
RISK OF CHEMICAL PEELING TREATMENTS

There are no major risks to occur after Chemical peeling. There may be some complications like developing temporary or permanent color change in the skin. There is a very low risk of scaring and if it does happen it can be treated with good results.

.
DEFINITION OF CHEMICAL PEELING

General anesthesia – variety of medications given to ensure unconsciousness, loss of control of reflexes. The patient is put to sleep to not feel any pain or discomfort.

Local anesthesia – induces absence of sensation to a specific part of the body.

.
FIRST DAY

Patients will attend consultation with the Turkey chemical peeling esthetic doctor in Antalya and Istanbul hospitals and will be advised about the procedure and their condition. The patient will then be taken through a couple of tests that are required before the treatment and if everything is normal then Chemical peeling will be performed. Chemical peeling is usually done without anesthesia but depending on the situation local anesthesia may be used. The duration of the treatment will depend on the extent of treatment. Once the treatment is over the patient will be taken to a private room where they will be staying for resting. The doctor will perform a check up and if they are approved to be in good, healthy condition and the treatment results are all successful; the patients are advised with post treatment care requirements and are ready to be discharged from clinic to their settlements. If desired, patients can spend the day to rest and attend the clinic the next day for the treatment.
